Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international progress into the Latin popular music scene. In the year 2017 the song he released in 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was released by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight in the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. In 2020, he dropped the album that charted Dopamina and co-wrote Mala Influencia with Noriel. The singer appeared in 2021 on a duet TINI on her smash streaming track Maldita Foto. in 2023 the single the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in music-loving family. His younger brother and his mother are both musicians. According to him, musicality was a mandatory aspect of his daily life. When he was young, he taught how to play the piano, saxophone and guitar. Though his original goal was to become veterinarian, his brother Julian was able to convince him to enroll in singing lessons with a Cuban.
